Bangalore: A Traveler's Destination

The dazzles of the 'Bangalorean' night-life, a temporary kick of an inebriating drink and an unforgettable wayfaring across the city throughout the day, is what 'Namma Bangaluru' (as the locals name it) promises if you are still skeptical about the city's tourism prospects.

For some, heritage in Bangalore may be a passe because of the twenty first century urban kitsch that's reigning the city lately. Before you are too judgmental, just dawdle around the quaint by-lanes, gape at the historical vestiges and above all hire a guide to enlighten you about the city, and you'll be elated to discover the great history, heritage and the culture of the city. Though amidst all the glitters - the towering buildings and the slew of shopping arcades or the pubs - the heritage of the city is tough to grasp, but unloose from the urban trance and you'll find galore to soak in art and heritage. What is best is the overt contrast between the ethnic aura of the city in the outskirts and the glitter of the plush markets. For food lovers, southern spices are not all you can nibble on, but savor Chinese, Punjabi and Eastern culinary delights as well. All these diversities, and the unusual culture if coaxed for self-convenience and fun, then the city is an ideal location for a fun holiday trip.

Philosophies and sentiments aside, plan your travel itinerary to Bangalore with great zest and expectations. Believe me, you wont regret. The aim is to persuade your mind to art, heritage and history. While not much of Mughal architectures are evident in the city, but you do come across a number of art marvels for a momentary withdrawal from the vibrant pub-life. After a night long bash at a disc, the often evaded architectural masterpieces sure competes with all the glamour of the city hubs. Start with the Bangalore Palace, one of the must see tourist destinations in the city. Everything from the imposing structure, the grandeur and the minutest architectural details that adorn it are worth capturing. A Greco-Roman relic built during 1880 and a palpable marvel for its Gothic windows, elegant doorways and the intricate woodworks pacify the royal history of the city. If you are still doubtful then there is the stunning paintings and the statuesque fortifications that unveils its glory and majesty.

A diversion is a must after you are subject to such grandiose. Best now, dive into religion. Bangalore is a city with multiple religious followers: A temple, a mosque or a church can be discerned everywhere. For instance, the Bull Temple is more than just for worshiping. The exquisite art forms, the rich mythology and its groundnut festival fervor during November-December are typical Indian traditions.

Stunned with all this? Be sure not to. There's more that awaits you.

Drive towards the central part of the city unless you reach Lalbag Botanical Garden. The green garden is perfect for a family picnic or a romantic walk with your mate. To make the environment more significantly breathtaking, there's the glass house for the plant lovers.

Then there is The Vidhana Saudha known for its appeasing surrounding, the lushly lawns freckled along the roadway, and the groomed garden. Next is the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple. Rising to an unimaginable height that even your eyes get weary to glare, the ISKCON temple is on the extreme northern vicinity of Bangalore. Florescent white walls blazing in the sun, maneuvering stairs that vanishes at the feet of goddess Krishna, and the madness of the unruly crowd jostling over the delicious 'Bhog' bespeaks of the spiritual ethos of ISKCON. Attara Kacheri and the Nandi Hills are two other places to see in the city.

No stopping unless you have seen the extra-ordinary party nights in the city. Drop in to Bunkers, Sticks, Nasa, Zero G, or Windsor Pub if you just love to drink and chat with your friends or a mate. For something more energetic, discotheques like Fuga, Tika, Athena or Hink are best to check in.

Groove, tap and whirl – join the dance fray.

The Fortune Curry - (Team effort - Check the conclusion written by me)

It was a squally afternoon in the middle of April. The nature was breathing a sigh of relief after a prolonged spell of heat wave. So was Arjun, a mid-level technical writer, who had joined the Kolkata office of one of the leading MNCs in the IT sector only about a year back. He had just received a really encouraging note of appreciation from the client on the successful completion of his project. Eventually, it was his first project for the company. After having a cup of coffee at the cafeteria, Arjun entered his bay in a very relaxed mood which he really deserved after working so hard for the successful completion of his project. He could see that his supervisor, Nikhil, was having a discussion with one of his colleagues, Sonali, in the conference room. Arjun did not pay much heed to it and slowly moved back to his desk with an intention to complete whatever little bit he was left with for the day, as early as possible. At the back of his mind, he was planning for a short trip wit

What you see in a Cow?

An essay on Cow, as it might seem unusual unless written by a 10-years old kid, can be a topic of interest by those keenly interested in ecology, naturopathy, or even those specializing in diary products. However, an elaborate research on this topic opens up possibilities to explore how a Cow can be an object of interest for many not professionally inclined to this resourceful species. If you are an avid reader, a profound thinker, or a regular follower of current affairs, the word Cow may trigger thoughts ranging from political agendas, corruption to religious fanatism and spirituality. However, what is necessary to have is a perspective when you look at a Cow or any object per se. A perspective is a set of uncanny impressions inspired by the subject; spurred by conditioned beliefs, a situation, a defense mechanism, or a sudden flurry of thoughts mostly misconstrued as unreasonable. The perspectives here are personal viewpoints not influenced by any religion but interprets the teac
